The article critically examines César Calvo's book *Las tres mitades de Ino Moxo y otros brujos de la Amazonía* by focusing on the interplay between literature and visual arts—specifically the paintings of César Calvo de Araújo, engravings by Francisco Mariotti, and photographs by Augusto Falconi—as a constructive principle that multiplies media and materials within the work. The unifying practice, which both critiques artistic specificity as a foundation of aesthetic autonomy and exposes the Amazonian archive, is the trance state induced by ayahuasca ingestion. This yields a literary form tied to a visual regime based on perceptual disruptions, around which the visual practices embedded in the fiction revolve.
