A qualitative case study of university students who experienced academic burnout and practiced mindfulness techniques found that practices such as breathing meditation, body scan, mindful walking, and reflective journaling helped reduce emotional exhaustion, improve focus, and enhance sleep quality and mental health. Students faced challenges including time constraints, inconsistent practice, and limited environmental support, but overcame them by establishing regular schedules and forming support communities. The authors conclude that mindfulness is an effective adaptive strategy for managing academic burnout and recommend integrating mindfulness programs into university counseling, curricula, and activities.
