An integrative review of 13 studies found that mindfulness-based interventions improved the quality of life of caregivers and family members of people receiving palliative care, though the literature is scarce. The review searched multiple databases and included studies that administered mindfulness practices to caregivers. The authors conclude that the interventions were satisfactory and effective, but they call for more research to explore the effects of guided and unguided formats, different delivery methods such as face-to-face or computerized, and associations with specific practices.
