Dysmenorrhea is a common reproductive health issue among adolescent girls that can affect daily activities, academic performance, and quality of life. This pre-experimental study examined the effect of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on menstrual pain intensity in 30 adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea at a community health center in Mojokerto, Indonesia. Pain intensity was measured before and after the intervention using the Numeric Rating Scale. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a significant reduction in pain intensity after MBSR (p = 0.000), leading the authors to conclude that MBSR is effective and can serve as a safe, easily applied nonpharmacological therapy for menstrual pain.
