Reducing Stress in Children by Yoga - A Study
Journal of Chemical Biological and Physical Sciences July 1, 2026
A short-term yoga intervention reduced stress among adolescents. Among 60 students aged 17–18, those who practiced Anuloma Viloma, Bhastrika, Bhramari, and Kapalabhati pranayama for ten consecutive days showed a significant decrease in mean stress scores (from 64.90 to 50.86). The control group showed no significant change. The authors conclude that yoga is an effective intervention for reducing adolescent stress and recommend integrating regular yoga practice into schools.
