Effect of alternate nostril breathing and meditation practices on stress and aggression among the university women students

International journal of physiology, nutrition and physical education January 1, 2021 A. Amrutha, Dr. S Alagesan

A six-week program of alternate nostril breathing or meditation reduced stress and aggression in women college students aged 18 to 25. Forty-five women from Annamalai University were randomly assigned to an alternate nostril breathing group, a meditation group, or a control group. Pre- and post-test comparisons using t-tests and ANCOVA showed that both practices improved the psychological variables compared to the control group.
