Tekstirobotid ja laiendatud vaim. Kuidas mõista tehisintellekti rolli akadeemilise teksti loomes?

Eesti ja Soome-ugri Keeleteaduse Ajakiri June 27, 2025 Vivian Puusepp

When a learner uses a chatbot for academic writing, the chatbot cannot be neatly categorized as a source, co-author, conversation partner, or mere tool. Drawing on the extended mind approach, which holds that mental processes can incorporate external tools, the article argues that whether a chatbot extends or narrows the human mind depends on how reliably it is coupled with the user. The decisive factor is trust: if the user critically evaluates the chatbot's output, the mind may be extended; if the user trusts it blindly, the chatbot may hinder writing and thinking skills.
