Phenomenology of human imagination and ontology of its dream images according to Gaston Bachelard

Kufa Journal of Arts June 20, 2017 احمد عويز حسين

Bachlarian research examines the structure of human imagination by analyzing perception and the imagined power, distinguishing between images produced by sensory memory (often representing familiar places) and those produced by pure imagination, which create a semi-realistic world. These imaginary images attempt to absorb two temporal moments, starting from the present to live in the future, sometimes mixed with past images and connected to daydreaming in the present extending into the future. Thus, an image belongs to more than one time point and more than one reference.
