Toward Dream Cartography: Mapping Dream Space and Content

Dream cartography aims to map dream content by developing and adapting visualization methods for explorative dream analysis. The authors describe a workflow for modeling, documenting, reuniting, and graphically depicting the dream space and other psychological aspects of dreams in an abstracted way, focusing on data acquisition. Because the dream space cannot be consciously revisited, they propose means for obtaining more accurate descriptions of dream elements, illustrated with proof-of-concept visualization examples.
