High-quality, culturally sensitive, relational, and community-based education for facilitators is essential to reduce risks and increase benefits in psychedelic medicine. The University of California, Berkeley Psychedelic Facilitation Certificate Program (UC Berkeley PFCP) provides such training through a mindfully crafted program. This paper outlines the UC Berkeley training model, emphasizing its relational and culturally sensitive approach, which the authors believe should be adopted by other psychedelic training programs to improve facilitation quality and build a network of skilled practitioners.
