After ingesting 3,4-methylene-dioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA) and the monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor phenelzine, a 50 year old male developed marked hypertension, diaphoresis, altered mental status, and hypertonicity lasting 5-6 hours.
