JURNAL ABDI MERCUSUAR December 30, 2022 Christy N M Hitijahubessy

This community service activity trained pregnant women in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to reduce anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic. The training, conducted at a health center in November 2022, used a one-group pre-post test design. Knowledge about pregnancy during the pandemic increased from 20% to 57% in the good category, knowledge about anxiety dangers from 30% to 67%, and knowledge about MBCT from 3% to 44%. Anxiety levels decreased from moderate-to-severe before the intervention to mild-to-moderate after. The authors suggest MBCT can support pregnant women during the perinatal period.
