Mindfulness-based stress reduction counseling significantly reduced worries in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. In a quasi-experimental study, 60 women were assigned to either an intervention group receiving eight 90-minute MBSR sessions or a control group. Worry scores, measured by a 34-item questionnaire across six domains, decreased immediately after the intervention and at one month follow-up in the intervention group compared to controls. The authors suggest this method could improve mental health for this population.
