Effectiveness of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction on depression, anxiety and stress of women with early loss of pregnancy

Nasrollahi Masumeh, Ghazanfar Pour Masumeh, Ahmadi Atefeh et al.

Women who received eight sessions of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) after early pregnancy termination reported lower anxiety, depression, and stress than a control group. The intervention group's mean anxiety score was 7.9 ± 1.07 versus 13.79 ± 5.36 in controls; depression was 7.83 ± 1.05 versus 16.26 ± 11.06; stress was 9.26 ± 1.25 versus 7.66 ± 18.13. The authors suggest MBSR can promote mental health in this population.
