This paper discusses whether Sufism, the mystical and peaceful tradition of Islam, can address social problems in modern societies. It examines Sufism as a potential response to issues such as social and technological alienation, sustainable development, and environmental crises. The author argues that Sufism offers possibilities beyond spirituality, suggesting it may provide a sociological alternative to the damaging rhythms of modern life. The paper emphasizes reconsidering ancient wisdom and spiritual paths in a contemporary context, proposing that Sufi traditions could contribute to solving contemporary social dilemmas.
