Transcendental Meditation Program and Marital Adjustment
Psychological Reports December 1, 1982 Elaine N. Aron, Arthur Aron
Married women who practiced the Transcendental Meditation program reported greater marital satisfaction than matched controls who did not meditate, as measured by Locke's Marital Adjustment Inventory. The effect was stronger among those who practiced regularly. The authors suggest the program may help prevent marital discord.
