Psychedelic-occasioned mystical experience as a candidate operationalization of the spiritual dimension of osteopathic care, with application to body dysmorphic disorder: a scoping review protocol

This document is the a priori protocol for a scoping review that will map evidence on two topics: how psychedelic-occasioned mystical or spiritual experiences are measured and whether those measures are associated with clinical outcomes, and the use of classic serotonergic psychedelics for body dysmorphic disorder and obsessive-compulsive-spectrum conditions. The review will be conducted using JBI methodology, reported according to PRISMA-ScR guidelines, and interpreted through the osteopathic body–mind–spirit framework.
