Ethereal Phenomena - Interactive Art, Meditation, and Breathing Biofeedback: From Mind and Body Wellness Towards Self-Transcendence
International Conference on Tangible, Embedded, and Embodied Interaction February 13, 2022 Silvana Malaver Turbay, I. Segrovets, G. Chernyshov et al.
An interactive installation called Ethereal Phenomena lets a user meditate in front of a digital illustration inspired by Tibetan thangka art, which responds to the user's breathing. The biofeedback of the breath makes the artwork an extension of the user's body and a reflection of their mind. Combining art, sound, and biofeedback, the installation creates a unique meditative experience intended to promote physical and mental wellness and potentially induce a state of self-transcendence or pure consciousness.
