Clinical research on the therapeutic effectiveness of psychedelics has experienced a renaissance in recent years. The current state of scientific evidence for efficacy in various psychiatric indications, along with the already approvable use of some psychedelic substances in clinical practice under certain conditions in some countries, suggests the possibility of future clinical application in Germany as well. The field still faces major challenges, including the need for critical design of the framework conditions for potential clinical use.
