Mindfulness—sustained, non-judgmental attention—is gaining traction in clinical research, but its specific applications to music and musicians remain underexplored. This review of 27 publications concludes that, although the field is young, it is producing promising results across several dimensions, suggesting potential benefits for musical practice and performance.
