Mindfulness, an ancient Eastern technique, has become popular in the West, first in healthcare and then in education. This paper explores links between musical practices and Mindfulness by examining their working techniques and pioneering application in primary education through existing programs. It proposes interdisciplinary applications adaptable to different levels and contexts, based on practical musical experiences. The work collects definitions of Mindfulness to clarify the concept, summarizes current educational programs based on the technique, and offers a program proposal for introducing Mindfulness into music classes.
