Dream Recall and Individual Differences

Dream recall was not related to extraversion-introversion or neuroticism among university students. Female students reported significantly higher average dream recall than male students across three hypothetical recall periods. The authors suggest that future research should examine motivational factors, especially physiological arousal during dreams, and propose several theoretical possibilities.
