Listening to OM chanting increases alpha wave amplitudes by 34.2% and improves the theta/beta ratio by 85.4%, indicating relaxation, emotional regulation, and focus, while decreasing beta waves associated with stress and cognitive overload. These EEG-measured changes suggest stronger neural integration between brain hemispheres, positioning OM chanting as a potential neurotherapeutic tool for stress management and cognitive enhancement.
