An online mindfulness program reduced perceived stress, anxiety, and depression in adults from the general population. In a randomized trial with 118 participants, those who completed the intervention reported significantly lower stress, anxiety, and depression compared with waitlist controls, and these improvements persisted at 3- and 6-month follow-ups. The positive effects were primarily explained by an increase in non-judging, a facet of mindfulness. The findings support the effectiveness of delivering mindfulness training online, which may improve accessibility and reduce costs.
