Regular vipassana bhavana training, guided by YM. Jinadhammo Mahathera, aims to address human emotional and life difficulties by developing insight (vipassana) and mindfulness (sati). The practice helps individuals see life as impermanent (anicca) and free from attachment to greed, hatred, ignorance, and suffering, ultimately leading to Nibbana. A quantitative study of 45 community members found that vipassana bhavana training accounted for 71.7% of the variance in emotional intelligence, with the remaining 28.3% explained by other factors. The training had a positive and significant effect on emotional intelligence.
