The Efficacy of the Persian Version of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Management App (Aramgar) for College’s Mindfulness Skills and Perceived Stress
International Journal of Islamic Educational Psychology July 7, 2023 Somaieh Borjalilu
An 8-week mindfulness mobile app (Aramgar) designed for Persian users reduced perceived stress and improved mindfulness skills. In a one-group pretest-posttest design, 85 students used the app for at least 10 minutes daily. Scores on the Perceived Stress Scale and the Five Factor Mindfulness Questionnaire changed significantly from before to after the intervention: perceived stress decreased (P = 0.03) and total mindfulness increased (P = 0.002). Specialists rated the app's quality as appropriate across engagement, functionality, aesthetics, and information quality. The findings suggest that mobile mindfulness apps can offer a simple way to support mental health, though further infrastructure development is needed.
