THE EFFECT OF MINDFULNESS INTERVENTION ON BURNOUT IN NURSES

Nurse and Health Jurnal Keperawatan July 6, 2026 Luh Putu Sukmayanti, Ni Luh Cica Kusuma Dewi, Komang Laksmi Widari et al.

A quasi-experimental study at Bhakti Rahayu Tabanan Hospital found that a four-week mindfulness intervention significantly reduced burnout among nurses. Compared to a control group, the intervention group showed lower emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a greater sense of personal accomplishment. Mindfulness exercises focused on breathing, bodily sensations, and emotional acceptance, combined with home practice, helped nurses manage work stress and improve emotional regulation. The findings suggest that mindfulness can be an effective strategy to support nurse mental health and performance.
