A philosophical and technical view of artificial consciousness

Wearable Technology February 22, 2024 Andrey Shcherbakov, Artem Uryadov

The article describes philosophical and programming approaches to creating artificial consciousness (AC). It proposes a ten-level architecture for AC, beginning with collecting and systematizing information about the external world and culminating in levels for influencing the world, coordinating with humans, and making decisions. The authors detail how functions are divided between humans and AC and how they interact. Finally, they list the properties most important from a programmer's perspective that characterize artificial consciousness.
