During the COVID-19 pandemic, adults who attended structured online meditation sessions had lower anxiety levels than those who did not. Among 74 participants, the mean GAD-7 score was significantly lower in the online meditation group. Only 6.7% of meditators scored above 10 on the GAD-7, compared to 13.6% in the comparison group. The findings suggest that at-home mental health promotion measures like online meditation may help mitigate the pandemic's mental health impact.
