Physics, Time, and Qualia

Four deep problems in science—foundational issues in quantum theory, quantum gravity, the role of qualia and conscious awareness, and the nature of time—may share a common resolution. The authors propose that a quantum event is a process where an indefinite aspect of the world becomes definite. From this, they build an architecture where qualia are real and consequential, and time is active, fundamental, and irreversible.
