Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is largely responsible for the technological marvels we are viewing these days. With the rise of technology made possible by AI evolution, there is a potential that AI will achieve human-like consciousness. Human consciousness can be described as one’s own awareness of himself and the environment. The key focus of this paper is on can AI be evolved in a way that it can replicate human consciousness, if cloned what are the ethics, in what way they are impacted and will it act in accordance to the social norms. Brief introduction concerning Consciousness, AI and way forward into discussion is given. Various opinions and research rationales of distinct philosophers and neuroscientists about AI awareness is presented. Implication of ethical issues on society if Artificial Intelligence is further advanced are countered. A discussion of research findings with an unprejudiced view is presented. A conclusion with what the present position of AI and what will be the future of AI with cognizance is conferred in this paper.
