Key points László argues that consciousness is the foundation of the world, proposing that the cosmos is an intelligence that creates itself and everything in it, and that human beings and all other existing things are a representation of that cosmic intelligence.

Abstract

The philosopher Ervin László answers in his current talk to questions such as: “Is the world that we observe necessarily the world that exists?”, “What is matter and what is mass?”, “What is the universe?”, “What is the cosmos?”, “How do we come to perceive certain phenomena as solid objects?”, “Is there something objective and coherent in this world and if so, what is it and who is responsible for it?”, “Is there something that forms order in the universe?”. By leading from one question to another he brings the listeners to the conclusion that consciousness is the foundation of the world, or better said the cosmos is an intelligence that creates itself and everything in it. As a result, us human beings and all other things that exist in the universe are a representation of that cosmic intelligence.
