Abstract
Just as athletes train their bodies for the race ahead, Christian healthcare leaders must prepare their hearts and minds for the journey set before them. This preparation begins with cultivating inner resilience, which is vital in high-stress healthcare environments. Practices like meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork help calm the mind, ground the body, and foster spiritual clarity. In that stillness, we become more aware of God’s presence and better able to discern His guidance. As Scripture reminds us: Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7 (NIV)
