Abstract
Depression and anxiety are among the most widespread mental health challenges globally, impairing functioning, relationships, and overall well-being. While psychotherapy and pharmacological treatments remain central, they are not wholly sufficient in addressing the lived experiences of those affected. This chapter explores the therapeutic potential of mindfulness, movement, and dance as embodied practices that integrate cognitive awareness with physical expression. Drawing from empirical literature and practical applications, it highlights their role in emotional regulation, resilience, and holistic healing. By situating these practices alongside mainstream psychotherapies, the chapter underscores their promise as complementary strategies in alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety.
