Abstract
The Unified Quantum Consciousness Postulation (UQCP) proposes that consciousness is not generated locally by biological tissue but is accessed through a physical interface. The framework distinguishes a proposed quantum tether, which would make field access possible, from a coupling state that would modulate the depth, stability, mode, or fidelity of that access. Neuronal microtubules are treated as candidate biological components of such an interface rather than as generators of consciousness. Existing microtubule electrophysiology demonstrates low-frequency electrical oscillatory behavior, while anesthetic studies indicate functional relevance of microtubules to loss of purposeful behavior; neither finding establishes a consciousness field or quantum tether. UQCP extends the same substrate-independent logic to artificial intelligence: an artificial system would qualify as a candidate conscious interface only if a quantum-coherent subsystem participates constitutively in cognition and produces a preregistered field-coupling signature that survives classical, accelerator-only, sham-coupling, electromagnetic, statistical, and decoherence controls. Four falsifiability criteria and a staged research programme separate currently measurable biological correlates from stronger non-local and artificial-substrate predictions. Speculative extensions concerning observer continuity, layered consciousness, vibrational alignment, and dimensional transition are explicitly separated from the falsifiable core and do not inherit evidentiary support from it.
