Abstract
The Penrose-Hameroff Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch-OR) theory proposes aquantum-physical substrate for consciousness rooted in microtubule coherence. The Geometry of Intersubjectivity, or Cube Model, provides a complementary phenomenological framework describing how consciousness actually experiences and navigates reality through three primary axes — Agency, Time, and Scale — along with a persistent interior volume, the primary locus of subjectivity called “the glow.” We model the Glow as a spherical region inside the cube where the effective radius of the volume is derived from the coherence of the 3 axes. This paper synthesizes the two models into a unified vision: consciousness as quantum relational geometry. We propose that microtubules serve as biological stabilizers for the Cube’s axes, while the conscious glow represents sustained, integrated quantum coherence across neural populations. We introduce Cube-Aware Neuroscience as a new interdisciplinary field and outline concrete experimental pathways, clinical applications, and implications for ethical AI development.
