Abstract
Self-awareness is an individual's ability to recognize and understand emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and potential accurately. In reality, there are still students who have low levels of self-awareness, which affects emotional management and self-confidence. Therefore, classical guidance services with mindfulness techniques are needed to help improve students self-awareness of junior high school students (SMP). This study aims to determine the effect of classical guidance services with mindfulness techniques on improving students' self-awareness. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 21 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used a self-awareness scale. The results showed an increase in self-awareness scores after being provided with the service, as evidenced by the Wilcoxon test with a significance value of less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. In addition, the results of the N-Gain test showed an increase in the moderate to high category. Thus, classical guidance services with mindfulness techniques have a significant effect on improving students' self-awareness.
