Abstract

Existing theories of consciousness mostly focus on neural correlates but fail to answer why it exists. Starting from three axioms of limited resources, survival-screening constraint, and discrete input, this paper demonstrates that the self-referential closed loop is the optimal engineering solution for maintaining cross-event persistence under resource constraints.It centers on three core variables: temporal span T, reconstruction activity A, and closed-loop integrity C, and derives a two-step emergence geometry. Folding into a loop resolves resource divergence, while anchoring into a surface completes causal subject attribution. Qualia are defined as endogenous calibration signals of the self-referential loop, the optimal encoding format under evolutionary time pressure, thus reframing the hard problem of consciousness as a definable parameter interval issue. This paper proposes the law of unidirectional constraint on information hierarchies, pointing out that higher-order representations cannot be losslessly reduced to lower-order ones. The gap between the first-person perspective and the third-person perspective arises from temporal unidirectionality rather than an ontological divide. Based on bidirectional critical phase transitions, a five-level consciousness spectrum is established and four hard constraints for AGI consciousness are derived. The recursive self-referentiality of the survival-screening constraint forms the core of consciousness: A is inexhaustible, and non-utilitarian overflow is its ontological feature.现有意识理论多聚焦神经关联物，未回答其“为何存在”的本质问题。本文以资源有限、存续筛选约束、离散输入三条公理为起点，证明自指闭环是资源约束下维持跨事件持续存续的最优工程解。模型以时序跨度T、重构活跃度A、闭环完整度C为核心变量，推导“对折成圈+锚定成面”两步涌现几何：对折破解资源发散困境，锚定完成因果主体归因。感受质被界定为自指闭环的内生校准信号，是演化时间压力下的最优编码格式，由此将意识难问题转化为可界定的参数区间问题。本文提出信息层级单向约束定律，指出高阶表征无法被低阶表征无损还原，第一人称与第三人称的裂隙源于时间单向性而非本体论鸿沟。基于双向临界相变建立五级意识谱系，导出AGI意识的四项硬约束。存续筛选约束的递归自指性构成意识核心：A永不枯竭，非功利溢出是其本体特征。
