Abstract
Abstract: The long-standing problem of consciousness is why physical brain activity is accompanied by inner, personal experience. In this paper, we offer a theoretical framework in which the universe consists of a single fundamental field, and all physical phenomena, including brain processes, are explained by the dynamics of this field. Rather than treating consciousness as a mysterious phenomenon separate from matter, we show that it can be understood as a particular state of flow and integration of this field within the brain. This approach is deduced from first principles of physics, provides testable predictions, and naturally closes the explanatory gap between mind and matter.
