Abstract

Some Taoist philosophies are discussed, with the argument that the Tao is another term for ultimate reality and realization of the Tao leads to improvements in mental health. Coverage of the Tao Te Ching is central to this chapter, but elements of the Zhuangzi and the Liezi are also included. The Tao, Wu Wei, and various other topics are also briefly covered. Like the previous chapters, Taoist approaches also follow the same underlying mechanisms and show, from another unique angle, that the realization of ultimate reality leads to significant improvements in mental health Mental health .
