We propose a conceptual and theoretical framework in which highly coherent information systems can exhibit protofunctional properties analogous to early-stage cognition. Starting from the Meliverose model, where reality emerges from information density (I) and coherence (C), we introduce the concept of protoconscious coherence as a measurable structural regime.
