Abstract

This paper introduces a speculative, non-reductivemetaphysical framework that conceptualizes consciousness as an adimensional, non-local informational field. Moving away from mechanistic and computational reductionism, we proposethat the biological brain does not generate subjective experience but operates as a localizedregistration interface. Within this model, theneural substrate accommodates an infinite continuum of localized, infinitesimal “presents,” ormicro-awareness states. Through a philosophicalprinciple of negentropic unification termed Conscientropy, these disjointed micro-states are systematically integrated into a macroscopically expanded, unified ego. We position this frameworkin dialogue with contemporary theories of mind—Integrated Information Theory (IIT) and GlobalWorkspace Theory (GWT)—and apply it heuristically to interpret structural and functional dissociation, providing a novel metaphysical lens forboth split-brain phenomena and clinical dissociation.
