Abstract

Este ensaio apresenta imagens feitas durante a pesquisa de mestrado sobre a produção artística visual influenciada pelo consumo de ayahuasca em contextos urbanos brasileiros. As fotografias foram tiradas num bairro da zona norte do Rio de Janeiro durante uma entrevista com um artista adepto da religião do Santo Daime e nelas podemos ver tanto sua inspiração relacionada aos temas da floresta, origem do chá psicoativo, quanto um pouco da história da religião, sua cosmologia e doutrina marcada pelo ecletismo.
