The Interrelated Physiological and Psychological Effects of EcoMeditation.
J Evid Based Integr Med January 1, 2018
EcoMeditation, a brief practice combining breathwork, mindfulness, and emotional regulation techniques, produces interrelated physiological and psychological benefits. Practitioners show reduced cortisol levels, increased heart rate variability, and lower self-reported stress and anxiety. The effects appear to reinforce each other, suggesting that the practice's simultaneous impact on body and mind creates a positive feedback loop. The authors conclude that EcoMeditation offers an accessible, low-cost intervention for stress reduction.
