Mycelium Growth and Development of Psilocybe spp. Mother Cultures on Agar-Based Media.

Different genotypes of Psilocybe mushrooms grow differently on various agar-based media, and this is the first investigation to document those differences for four genotypes. The findings provide a foundation for developing genotype-specific cultivation protocols, which will help standardize and optimize mycelium growth and preservation for future clinical and industrial production of psilocybin.
