A fatal overdose of the potent hallucinogen 25I-NBOMe was confirmed postmortem in a traumatic death. High performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry detected the drug in bodily fluids and tissues, providing a method for forensic identification of this substance in future cases.
