Perils and pitfalls of near-death experience research.

Research on near-death experiences (NDEs) faces several methodological and interpretive challenges. The article outlines common perils and pitfalls in NDE studies, including issues with participant selection, retrospective reporting, and potential confounding factors such as psychological or physiological states. It argues that these problems can undermine the validity and reliability of findings, and offers guidance for improving future research designs to avoid these pitfalls.
