Alzheimer's disease has a long preclinical phase before symptoms appear. Psychedelic compounds show neuroplastogenic and anti-inflammatory effects, making them promising candidates for new Alzheimer's therapies. This mini review summarizes research using human brain organoids to study molecular and metabolic changes caused by psychedelics, focusing on their potential for treating Alzheimer's disease.
