Quantum Resonance with the Mind: a Comparative Analysis of Buddhism's Eighth Consciousness, Quantum Holography and Jung's Collective Unconscious

Qeios January 10, 2024 David Leong 2 citations

This interdisciplinary paper argues that Buddhism's Eighth State of Consciousness, quantum holography, and the Jungian collective unconscious share conceptual links. The Eighth Consciousness in Buddhism is described as a realm beyond ordinary sensory and mental states, connecting to universal awareness. Quantum holography holds that every part of the universe contains information about the whole, similar to the collective unconscious, a shared reservoir of human memories and ideas. The paper suggests that photons oscillating between particle and wave states mediate perception through resonance, hinting at a multi-layered consciousness mirroring quantum reality. Through comparative analysis, it posits that integrating quantum theories and Buddhist wisdom can deepen understanding of the psyche, championing such approaches for decoding the interplay of mind and universe.

Dreams as Portals to Parallel Realities and Reflections of Self

Qeios March 19, 2024 David Leong, Oxana Zinych

Dreams may serve dual functions: reflecting waking life and offering access to alternative dimensions or elevated states of consciousness. This exploratory paper examines dreams as both vehicles for processing daily experiences and as potential experiences of a distinct ontological status, where the dreamer might access realities beyond space and time. Drawing on psychodynamic and transpersonal perspectives, the authors argue that dreams shape psychological landscapes, perceptions, and behaviors, challenging boundaries between subjective and objective reality. The work calls for further interdisciplinary research into the transformative potential of the dreaming mind.
