Praying the Rosary is linked to moderate positive outcomes, including reduced depression, increased empathy, and lower religious struggle, based on an international sample from Italy, Poland, and Spain. The network analysis identified religiosity and religious struggle as central factors with the most connections to other variables. Qualitative responses described the prayer as a source of inner peace and a coping mechanism during distress. The study suggests that Rosary prayer may offer similar benefits to other forms of meditation and prayer, though correlations were moderate.
Among pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, religious experiences are linked to lasting transformations in three areas: a heightened sense of unity and love, a stronger commitment to an apostolic mission, and expanded spirituality, wisdom, and detachment. Based on 32 travelogue testimonies and survey data from 501 participants, pilgrims report moving toward greater love, unity with nature, and sharing insights, alongside increased spirituality and reduced materialism. These transformative aftereffects correlate significantly with individuals who prioritize their relationship with God and engage in regular religious practices, suggesting religious experiences can shape societal values and beliefs.
